Buffy: I don’t love Xander.
Angel: Yeah, but he’s in your life. He gets to be there when I can’t: take your classes, eat your meals, hear your jokes and complaints….[softly] he gets to see you in the sunlight.
Buffy: [modestly] I don’t look that good in direct light.
BtVS, 2x02: Some Assembly Required
Buffy: I don’t get it. Why go to all the trouble to dig up three girls only to chop them up and throw them away? It doesn’t make any sense, especially from a time management standpoint.
Angel: Well, what I saw didn’t add up to three whole girls. I think they kept some parts.
Buffy: Could this get yuckier?
Willow: They probably kept the other parts to eat!
Buffy: Question answered.

“I can’t help thinking I’ve done something to make you angry. And that bothers me more than I’d like.”

Angel Facts 208/208 | She, Season One
“Jheira from SHE was planned to return later, and Bai Ling was eager to reprise the role, but this never happened.”
If I’m correct, this is the only time an (East) Asian actress ever appeared on the show. I loved her character, but being Chinese myself, I really wished she became part of the supporting cast.
- This scene. This scene!
- David, stop being so attractive when you’re sad.
- And Spike was not originally a poet for nothing. He swaggers. He drinks. He smokes. He gives you the bowfinger if you blame him for muting the world in Hush. But he’s highly attuned to human nature and can tell exactly what’s going on underneath all the sugar coating.

This was one of my favorite moments from Five by Five (Angel, Season 1), when Faith drops the bloody glass shard to the street after torturing Wesley. I’m not sure if I interpret this the same way that Joss Whedon meant it, but I always see this as a quiet moment when Faith allows her remorse over her actions to grip her for a moment. It’s peaceful in a way, but also very powerful.
Also, Eliza Dushku looks simply gorgeous here :)
David in the “Introducing Angel” featurette (Angel, Season 1/Disc 6 DVD) featurette when talking about Angel deciding to “kick some demon butt” in LA as his new occupation after Buffy’s graduation.
Cute moment: Wes checking out the bruise Faith gave Cordelia in Five by Five (screencap from Sanctuary).
Hunger Games reference? I like to think of it as such, although I believe they weren’t even out yet at the time, haha.
You know, just when I think I’ve got you all figured out, you show up in a suit.
Lindsey to Angel on his sneaking into Lindsey’s office as a W&H lawyer
Kate huddled in her father’s apartment after his death in The Prodigal (Angel, Season 1).
“My father was human…and you don’t know anything about that.”
Angelus and Angel in Eternity (Angel, Season 1).
Rebecca: You’re crazy.
Angelus: Oh, no. I’m just a vampire!
